Our Story

The Kalomenopoulos brothers started this company in 2012 as an idea. It sprouted from “do you know what? We should sell dad’s olive oil”. Since then they’ve been shipping it to the UK and bottling it manually on a small scale, developing step by step. Yorgi Kalomenopoulos, one of the sons, has been doing the promotional design work while Panayoti Kalomenopoulos, the other son, has been dealing with infusions. Manolis Kalomenopoulos is out there nurturing the trees, and Stella Kassimati, the mom, manages the company and brings them all together.

The tradition of growing olive oil in Amari, Crete is deeply rooted and widespread. There are fields upon fields of olive trees in the valley and olive oil production is the people’s pride and passion. The family nurture and praise the olive each year from the initial blossom right through to the harvest, as their ancestors did. So within the olive oil they present their culture and hope, you too, can taste a little piece of their paradise.
